Alternatives to Corn-Based Ethanol
Corn based ethanol now days is being used in most of the automobiles and other gasoline powered machines as it provides better efficiency to the vehicles and other machineries.Scientists and researchers all over the world are examining plant residue and municipal waste to convert them to fuel which can be used as an alternative to the corn based ethanol which is known as cellulosic ethanol.
Ethanol has been recognized as an efficient alternative fuel which can achieve goals for short term periods, but corn is not considered as a dependable source for ethanol. The technique for the production of cellulosic ethanol is still in initial development phase. According to a scientist in United States, approximately $ 2 billion have been invested in the research process in order to produce cellulosic ethanol so that it is more cost effective for the end consumers.
Subsequently, as far as the alternative for corn based ethanol is concerned, cellulosic ethanol is being considered as the finest and the most efficient fuel for the generations to come.
Hybrid Power Trains
A hybrid vehicle car or train or truck uses two power sources to run the vehicle. Most commonly hybrid electric vehicles use a combustion engine with one or more electric motors to move the vehicle. A hybrid electric train has dual mode with diesel and electric motors and has dual voltage capabilities which allows it to be used on different rail systems.
Mostly a hybrid train uses diesel and electric motors to supply engine the power it requires to move the train. The use of two sources of power greatly benefits the engine’s consumption of non-renewable fuel like diesel or coal and makes the train more efficient and run on electric power which is a greener fuel and also doesn’t harm the environment.
There are many variations of hybrid engines which are named and are developed differently throughout the world but they all work on the same concept of dual fuel to increase the mileage. Engines have batteries that store electric energy in different types of batteries that are mounted over the engine.
Advent of Concept Cars
With great advancement in technologies of automobile industry, last decade has traced the coming of concept cars by automobile companies. A concept car is vehicle that is exhibited by a company which showcases concept of new technology, new styling, and other features that are innovated by the manufacturing company.
Concept cars are often displayed at cars shows and auto-exhibitions to display to general public and record their reactions on the same. These designs may or may not have a chance of coming into the market or produced for the public use.
Another reason for the advent of concept cars is that with growing competition companies need to showcase their abilities and new technology to people to create a brand name in the market.Another feature of concept cars is that they may make use of radical designs and expensive materials in production to give people an idea of their excellence in manufacturing techniques.
New Safety Enhancement: Dual Screen Navigation Screen
As the world is growing faster the technologies are also growing in the same pace. If we talk about the New Safety Enhancement which is a Dual Screen Navigation Screen, it is that satellite machine which tells the exact position of the user on the road. It uses the road database to give directions to the user for a particular destination.
There are various models of such navigation systems in the market but one should always go for the one’s which have latest technology in them like it should have a good operating system and should be windows based as well.
The various functions of navigation screens are they give turn by turn instructions to the driver which can either be audio or video. They also provide three dimensional maps for all the destinations.Along with all these features they also provide status indicator to show the exact location.
Such technologies now days are very much in demand as they provide a variety of features to the users.
Non Lethal Dazer Laser
The Dazer Laser is a non lethal weapon which shines in order to discombobulate, in turn creating a repelling light into the target’s eyes. It is mostly used for the police trials in the United States.
It is very easy to use and does not have lasting effects in somebody’s eyes. It provides the ability to temporarily make the threat as blind so that the person cannot move.
It contains a green laser beam which is very bright and flashes in a way that it causes maximum confusion to make the prey visually handicapped.
The beam of that laser light is so powerful that it’s still effective when the person has the eyes closed and its nausea lasts upto 3-4 hours and becomes very unpleasant.
There are different models of this laser light are the guardian and defender shaped light. Both of them are effective upto the range of 1 meter.
This technology is used by different police departments and has also been taken around the war fighter and counter terror expo circuit.
2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic
The 2007 Chevrolet 1500 Classic has a design which is similar to GMC Sierra 1500 classic and both carry over unchanged for 2007. They both have the designing which was launched in 1999.
The Silverado has comes in different models which are regular, extended and Crew cab models.
The extended model has rear hanged backdoors which cannot be opened independently. The extended and crew model both have a three person rear bench seat. The crew model also has a 5.8 feet fleet side cargo bed as well.
All the models which are according to the bed configuration have engines which can either be 195 horsepower V6 and as far as V8 is concerned it has engines of 285, 295, and 310 hp.
The cabs are available with manual or automatic transmission but among both of them the automatic version is considered as the standard one.
The Silverado is available in hybrid version as well. The hybrid version comes with an electronic version which provides power to the electrical accessories.
Automobile Leasing
If we talk about the literal meaning of automobile leasing it is the hiring the car from a person under an agreement or a contract. The key principle behind the concept of automobile leasing is based upon the concept of price depreciation.
The time period for which an automobile is kept on lease is called the lease term. The lease term period is generally articulated in number of months which can either be 12, 24, 36 or 48 months. On the other hand the lease period is always variable.
At the time of leasing one has to pay only a part of the automobiles total cost which is consumed in the driving period. The amount can be paid on lump sum basis as well.
The automobile leasing payment is divided into 2 parts:
1) Depreciation charge: It is that part of the payment which is needed to compensate to the vehicle’s value which might be lost during the lease term
2) Finance: It is that part of the payment which includes finance and the interest amount added during the process of leasing.
An individual should always go for automobile leasing if only has a fetish for new cars and want to drive them immediately after their launch.

Know all about Car Painting
People have been painting their cars since the time of invention of cars only. The idea of painting cars became popular since the 1950s.
The process of painting a car has always been a topic of interest for the people who lone their car the most. The job of painting a car is no less than a restoration process as it involves a lot of a lot of planning, finding proper tools and proper safety requirements.
If we talk about the industrial process of painting a car it involves electrocoating which is done at the primary stages then the primer is applied on, further base coat is done on the car followed by the final coating called clear coating.
There are four types of paint options available in the market which includes acrylic lacquers. Urethanes, enamel paints and water based paints.
As far as the maintenance of the car paint is concerned one should always use a wet cloth to wipe the car. After every wash wax should be applied to avoid sealing in the dirt. Car shampoos or polishes should be used to wash the car every time.
New Combinations of Fuels for Energy Efficiency
Fuel is a substance that combusts to provide heat and energy. They are used in automotives, mechanics, industries and in body metabolism as well. There are different processes through which a fuel can be converted into energy such as chemical reactions like combustion, nuclear fission and nuclear fusion.
Fuel is used day in, day out; this makes the requirement for newer fuel options or new combinations of fuels for energy efficiency and meeting the ever growing fuel requirement.
Lately, scientists have recognized ethanol as a suitable replacement for the conventional fuels. Considering ethanol to be a fuel is a better concept as the amount of petroleum energy used in making ethanol is very less which makes it an efficient medium of transforming little quantity of petroleum into a larger amount of a non-petroleum fuel.
Ethanol can also be produced without any subsidies even though the manufacturers still receive a farm subsidy for the same.
So ethanol is now considered as the next best alternative for the conventional fuels which are being used till today.
