Launched in the year 1999, the vehicle is named after the FIA GT class. The racing models of GT3 have won several awards. The 911 GT3 model successfully battles with the models like BMW M3 GTR and the Ferrari F430 GT2.

The original model of the GT3 had 360 PS. The engine of this sedan is alike the water cooled engine of 962 racing car. The only difference is that the 962 uses 6 separate cylinder heads while the GT1/ GT3 has 2 cylinder heads.

Each of them covers a bank of 3 cylinders. The monocoque body of the car is made up of hot-galvanized steel. The interiors are luxurious and facilitated with all the basic safety and comfort features. The car is really attractive with its smooth styling and striking handling.
